Helsekorn AS works with the propagation, cultivation, processing, and distribution of hull-less barley. The hull-less barley products contain, on average, twice as much dietary fiber, compared to regular hulled barley and oats growing in Norway today. Our products can be purchased by food manufacturers and consumers looking for healthier alternatives. 

Helsekorn AS was established with a clear ambition: to contribute to better health and a stronger immune system, through nutritious and sustainable grain products. In addition to this, we want to increase the amount of grains being produced to be used as food in Norway, trough the cultivation of the most dietary fiber-rich type of grain.

Helsekorn AS was founded with a clear ambition: to promote better health and a stronger immune system through nutritious and sustainable grain products. In addition, we aim to increase the proportion of food grain cultivation in Norway by growing the market’s most fiber-rich hull-less barley.

We work with the propagation, cultivation, processing, and distribution of hull-less barley and oats with a high beta-glucan content. Our products are offered both to food manufacturers and to consumers seeking healthier alternatives.

Helsekorn’s hull-less barley is grown under contract with selected farmers. The contract includes quality control at every stage of the cultivation period, such as restrictions on the use of crop protection agents, purity of plant/grain species, and more.

Cultivation of hull-less barley kan be traced back to the ancient times. The hull-less barley from Helsekorn is a modern development of det original ancient grain. Our hull-less barley er healthy, contains a high amount of dietary fiber and has a mild, nutty flavor. Hull-less barley is not only a type of grain with deep historical roots – it is also a modern, nutritious and tasteful option to today’s hulled barley.

We offer pure grains, concentrated barley fiber, barley flakes, and food products customized to fit the customers needs.
